The Sharks made it two wins from two with a convincing 42-20 away win over the Highlanders to kickoff round 2 of Super Rugby.
The sides traded early penalties before a second gave the Sharks a 6-3 lead. The Sharks would finish the first half superbly, crossing for three tries in the final ten minutes to take a commanding 27-3 advantage into the break. The Sharks slotted an early second half penalty, but the Highlanders hit back with two tries to get back into the match at 30-15 with around 20 minutes to play.
A Sharks try all but wrapped up the match, but the Highlanders hit back straight from the kickoff with a try. The Sharks would have the final say, running in their fifth try of the game in the final minute to seal an emphatic away victory.
